Privacy policy
This policy explains what PadelCut collects, why, where it is kept and how to delete it. It covers the PadelCut app for iPhone and Android and this website. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email carl@padelcut.app.
- We collect your email address, the match videos you upload and the short clips made from them
- The full match video is deleted after your reel is made. Only the short clips are kept

- You can delete clips, or your whole account, in the app
Who is responsible
The data controller is Romestraat Technologies Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16342990. Registered office: Suite 5, 5th Floor, City Reach, 5 Greenwich View Place, London E14 9NN, United Kingdom. The controller is the company that decides what happens to your data and is answerable for it.
What we collect
- Your account email address. You give it when you create an account. It is how you sign in and how we contact you about your account.
- The match videos you upload. The full recording of a match, which may show you and the other players on the court.
- The short clips. The rallies PadelCut cuts out of your match, and the reel made from them.
- Basic app records. Things the app needs to work, like when a reel was made, which clips you kept and who you sent a reel to. The app also keeps simple error reports so we can fix crashes. These contain no video.
We do not collect your location, your contacts or anything from other apps on your phone.
Why we collect it
- To make your account work and let you sign in
- To process your match video into clips and a coaching highlight reel, which is the whole point of the app
- To let you share a reel with a coach you choose
- To answer your questions and fix problems when you ask for help
We rely on our contract with you (providing the app you asked for) and, for error reports, our legitimate interest in keeping the app working. We do not use your videos or clips to train anything, to advertise, or for any other purpose.
Where it is stored
Your account details, videos and clips are stored on servers in the European Union. Short clips are also stored on your phone so you can watch them without a connection.
The full video is deleted
Once your reel is made, the full match video is deleted from our servers. We keep only the short clips. If processing fails, the full video is deleted anyway, within 24 hours of the upload.
How long clips are kept
Your clips and reels are kept until you delete them or delete your account, whichever comes first. Your email address is kept for as long as you have an account.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app, from the settings screen. Deleting your account removes your email address, your clips and your reels from our servers. Copies of a reel you have already sent to a coach stay with that coach, in the same way an email you have sent stays with the person you sent it to. If you cannot get into the app, email carl@padelcut.app from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
No selling, no ads, no tracking
We do not sell your data, and we never will. There are no ads in the app or on this website. We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or social media pixels. This website sets no cookies at all.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist on this website we keep your email address, whether you told us you are a player or a coach, and your club and city if you gave them. We use this only to tell you about PadelCut: when it opens, and early access for coaches. It is stored with our database provider on servers in the EU, like the rest of your PadelCut data. Ask us to remove it at any time by emailing carl@padelcut.app, and if PadelCut does not launch we delete the whole list.
Who else handles your data
To run PadelCut we use a small number of service providers, in general terms: cloud hosting and video processing providers, who store and process the data described above on our behalf, and an email provider for account messages. They act on our instructions and are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes. We do not share your data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
Other players in your video
Your match video will usually show the other players on the court. You are responsible for making sure everyone filmed is 18 or over and has agreed to be filmed, and the app asks you to confirm this before you upload. If someone appears in a clip and wants it removed, they can email us and we will deal with it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or get a copy of it. Most of this you can do yourself in the app. For anything else, email us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for anything that matters, tell you in the app.
